Are there any strategies to get fine motor skills to retrun sooner after a seizure?

I have a young adult who following a seizure shows a significant delay in return of fine motor skills.  Just holding a fork is difficult for him.  Eventually, the skill returns after a day, but is there anything we can do get the skills to return sooner?
