Youth Athletic Development and Lorimer Moseley on Pain

Posted Sep 12 2013 6:00am

This week’s Stuff You Should Read comes from Greg Rose and Lorimer Moseley.

Inner Circle and Updates

My latest recorded Inner Circle webinar is now available online.  Click here to view my past webinar on Breathing Pattern Disorders .  My next live Inner Circle webinar will be on Scapular Dyskinesis on Tuesday September 24th at 8:30 PM.  I am going to talk about what exactly that means and what we can do to treat scapular dyskinesis.  Should be a good one. has a couple of nice webinars up over the past couple of weeks.  Noted physical therapist Bob Mangine talks about the Basic Science of Motion Loss, which is a really interesting perspective of how and why we get tight, and what to do about it.  There is also a nice research summary from a project by Dr. Andrews and the American Sports Medicine Institute on return to play after shoulder stabilization surgery in NFL players.

Lorimer Moseley on Pain

Lorimer Moseley has an excellent DVD presentation on Pain.  In this live lecture, pain researcher and physical therapist Lorimer Moseley clarifies our modern understanding of pain.  This is a nice introduction to these concepts for anyone interested in the topic and Lorimer is a great presenter.  Click the link below to see more info and a nice video clip.
