tuesday trials: pushups, breakfast fajitas and treats
Posted Mar 30 2010 12:00am
I’m jumping {back} on the bandwagon – pushups! Every.Morning. I have yet to decide if this should go so far as to be a “100 pushups” challenge, but I’m 6 days in and 5 pushups UP.
This is simple: every morning, take a break from your routine, drop down, and give me 20 (+)! No, I’m not “good” at pushups and Yes, it’s a struggle. But! My base was 20 (i.e. the number I did on day 1 without collapsing); Monday morning I did 25. Heyo! It’s that easy; and it’s 2-3 minutes of your morning, at the most.
We’ll see how far this goes…last night I did my Powersculpt DVD with Bob & Jillian; my arms were Not so thrilled with more exercise this morning. We’re learning each other’s limits, and I met them in the middle. Only 15 today? Rest up! Tomorrow we’ll be aiming high again.

What’s a breakfast fajita? My version of a breakfast burrito, given what’s in the fridge and how I feel like preparing the veggies! A “regular” b-fast burrito could be omelet-style; cooking the chopped veggies in with the eggs. I wanted sautéed – i.e. fajita style.
HC’s Breakfast Fajitas {Serves 2}
4 eggs
1/2 green pepper, sliced
1/4 yellow onion, sliced
Salsa
Lite Mexican Cheese blend (shredded)
2 Whole wheat tortillas
Breakfast for Dinner (BFD) is always a quick-n-easy option – i.e. something I never say No to. Cut up the veggies, scramble the eggs, combine on the tortilla and heat ~25 seconds to melt the cheese….and voila! Your meal is ready!
For Dessert…we have Easter Treats! Thanks to the Madre
Yes, my Mom still sends me packages and they are absolutely wonderful! My Easter staples – Reese’s peanut butter Eggs & Peanut M&Ms - they are in there every time! This little box also included a Target Gift Card and a cute little candy plate, which was quickly adorned…
