Well well, it’s Tuesday again already?! Oh, man.
This week/weekend has totally flown by. I’ve only squeezed in two runs in the last five days! Uh, it’s safe to say that my 10K-training plan has been slightly neglected. When old college roommates are in town, everything else quickly takes a back seat. And that’s juuuust fine with me!
Ehh, no time for excuses. This is what I’ve been tryin’ over here…..

LUNA Bar Flavor – Chocolate Peppermint – I usually stick with the same flavors, but decided to branch out a little bit. Well, Target was low on options. So, impromptu ‘trial’! But, this one definitely works. I liked it!
Training Plan for a 10K – Thus far, I’ve only “trained” for a half marathon. I’m only one week in to this new plan (and uh, clearly haven’t done much with it), but I like the look of it! The 8 mile run scheduled for this weekend threw me off a little bit. While it’s not entirely necessary, a few extra miles won’t hurt right?? Eh, I’ll get on that.
Easy hot-Turkey-cheese Sandwich To GO – Low on groceries, and running late in the morning ?? Then it’s time to be creative with what you have! My newest lunch on-the-go consisted of this: Whole-wheat English muffin, 2 thin slices of deli Turkey, 1 slice of pepperjack cheese. Microwave 10-20 seconds. Instant YUM! I loved this.
Adding a task to your run – For my last run (saturday) I added a little chore to the adventure. I grabbed a check I needed to deposit and ran to the bank and back. This helped push me out the door; knowing I had an actual destination and I was crossing something off the to-do list!
Uh, FAIL
Noon-time running – Sure, I ended up getting a good workout. But, I also ended up SO hot that I stopped to stretch in the shade of a tree. No no, I didn’t even want to suck it up and walk 2 more minutes to get back to my apartment. Too hotttt.
