Now, it's time to plan for our abundance of tomatoes. Last night was a simple caprese salad with basil (also from the garden), mozzarella cheese, and a healthy pour of balsamic vinegar. Later this week, I'll show you the recipe we've been using for homemade pasta sauce. There are plans for homemade pizza with sliced tomatoes, a tomato and cheese tart, tomatoes provencals, and I'm still stuck on the idea of making ketchup. We'll have tomatoes well into October. Success never tasted so sweet. |
