Probably a Silly Question But...

I was just wondering if there's anything I can do to counter act elevation issues. I'm training in Arizona for the 1/2 marathon in Bear Lake. I'm worried that the elevation is going to kill any chance of a decent time (well, decent for ME)...is there anything I can do about this or am I just out of luck?? Thanks!!
