A few months ago I posted a desperate plea for those with advice about Plantar Fascists...and had many helpful and wonderful responses. After taking a month off I had been running for a week when I stepped on a rusty- very long- very sharp screw (barefoot) and it went through my foot- my non-injured foot of course- and was off for another month! So that is the cause of my disappearance for the last few weeks. Painful in so many ways! But I've still been hovering- jealously watching all your amazing accomplishments- not much to add.
But, I have to say... I AM BACK! Yippee!! I decided to jump into a 1/2 marathon yesterday- I decided on Friday to do it simply as a training run- and placed 2nd in my age devision and 4th overall- in the womens! 1:42 something- I couldn't read the seconds and they haven't posted results. But it felt so good to run- and with people- and not hurt!
