Fatigue, Coffee, and The Bretzel

Posted May 31 2012 6:00am

Today’s Stuff You Should Read comes from Todd Hargrove, The New York Times, and Gray Cook.

Every now and then I check the stats on this website, just to see what people are reading.  It is something that I don’t stay on top of as much as I should, but I just noticed recently that I hit 1 million views earlier this year and am actually well past it now, pushing close to 1.2 million now.  Considering I only post 1 or 2 times a week, this is something that I found to be pretty cool.  Just wanted to say thanks and hope the next million are even better!

Fatigue is in the Brain

Todd Hargrove writes up a nice piece about the brain’s role on fatigue.  I saw the original article from the journal Frontiers in Physiology and was really intrigued as well.  In a nutshell, fatigue is emotion within the brain, similar to the neuroscience concept of pain.  Interesting and worth reading.  How does this change our approach?

Coffee Drinkers May Liver Longer

Want to lower you chance of of dying by 10%?  Drink coffee.  Just another study showing the potential benefit of coffee.

The Bretzel

Gray cook does a nice video demo explaining the Bretzel 1 and 2 exercises for the anterior and posterior chains.
