Evidence Based Coaching, Thoracic Outlet, and Upcoming Courses

Posted Apr 26 2012 6:00am

Today’s stuff you should read comes from Sam Leahey and Phil Page.

Evidence Based Coaching

I just recently came across and really great article on evidence based coaching from Sam Leahey.  This is a fantastic piece and something I would consider a “must read.”  Great job Sam.

The Role of the Scapula in Thoracic Outlet Syndrome

Phil Page reviews a journal article regarding scapular position and thoracic outlet syndrome.  Interesting find that a lower scapula tends to be correlated with TOS.  This obviously makes sense.  I would actually take this a step further myself and include muscles that attach to the clavicle that keep the clavicle depressed towards the rib cage, such as the subclavius.

Upcoming Courses to Consider

There are a bunch of interesting CEU courses coming your way around the country from friends of mine.

Kevin Wilk

Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS)

Boston Sports Medicine and Performance 2012 Symposium
