APTA Responds to Dr. Oz, Wheat Free Diet, and Best PT Blog Award

Posted Feb 07 2013 6:00am

This week’s Stuff You Should Read comes from the APTA, Adam Vogel, and Therapydia.

Inner Circle and RehabWebinars.com Update

My next live Inner Circle webinar will be next week, on Tuesday February 12th, at 11:00 AM EST.  I’ll be presenting on 5 Tips to Reduce Little League Throwing Injuries.  Inner Circle members can sign up for the live webinar on the dashboard .  If you can’t make it live, I’ll get a recording up ASAP.

I’m also going to be giving away 2 free DVDs this month to Inner Circle members, one of Optimal Shoulder Performance and the other Functional Stability Training for the Core.  I’ll send an email.

Just in time for spring marathon training, RehabWebinars.com posted a great webinar on Overuse Injuries in Runners by Trey Duckett, MD of ASMI.  Dr. Duckett discusses some of the common injuries with emphasis on gait analysis, shoe wear, and prevention of injuries.  View the Overuse Injuries in Runners webinar at RehabWebinars.com

The 2013 ASMI Injuries in Baseball Course was awesome this year as always.  Recordings of some of the best talks are close to becoming available.  We’ll start posting them as soon as they are finished, but really excited to offer this awesome content.

APTA Responds to Dr. Oz

The APTA has released a memo in response to the recent Dr. Oz debacle.  I think the APTA did a great job with this one.  Please help promote.

Wheat-Free Diet Documentary

My friend Adam Vogel of Pure Performance Training outside Boston posted a great 3-part documentary of his experiment with going cold turkey with wheat.  Check it out, not sure if I could do it!
