A Gluten Free Wedding

Posted Jan 15 2009 7:41pm

We laughed. We cried. We smiled. We hugged. We had a dance, dance revolution. We watched the skies in fear of rain. We jumped up and down when the rain stopped right before the ceremony. We celebrated. We kissed (a lot). We had a conga line. We got married! And, in the interest of keeping this related to the gluten free food blog, we dined on absolutely delicious gluten free food:

Hors d'oeuvres to Pass

Dungeness Crab Cornmeal Cakes, topped with a Lemon Caper Aïoli
Shooters of Curried Pumpkin Bisque with Creme Fraiche
Small Spoons with Mediterranean Garbanzo Bean Salad and Hearts of Celery in a Lemon Saffron Dressing

On the Buffet

Baked Free Range Chicken with Grainy Mustard and Tarragon
Garlic Herb Roasted Vegetables and Varietal Potatoes
Organic Baby Greens with Fuji Apples and Honey Cayenne Toasted Pecans, tossed in our House Vinaigrette
Herbed Seared Polenta Medallions with Wild Mushroom Ragoût, White Truffle Essence and Parmesan Crisp
Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes

At the end of the wedding, we had full hearts and full tummies. Delicious catering packed us a bride and groom goody bag so that we could actually taste the wonderful food that we served that night. Mmmm, crabcakes.
