7 Day Stretch Challenge

Today is the first day of my peak week for marathon training. That means that this week will host the most mileage and most intensity for training. That being the case, I thought it was perfect timing that decided to host a “Stretch for Seven Challenge.”

“For seven days, we are challenging ourselves and each of you to do AT LEAST 20 minutes a day of some sort of stretching routine, foam rolling routine, or yoga to help take care of and elongate those muscles.”

This will hold me accountable for the week and allow my legs to recover from one run before hitting the pavement for the next.

Foam rolling, downward dog, and stretching while watching movies-here I come. I started today after my 7 mile run this morning. It was hilly and it is started snowing quite hard on my way home. The hot cup of coffee and hot shower never felt so good. Mmm. This is why I love morning runs.
