With any life comes obstacles. Some obstacles are unavoidable. Some are easy to get out of. Others are just hard and make life difficult.

So often people binge eat because they don’t know how to deal (or don’t want to deal) with what is unfolding in their life. Binge eating seems like the better idea at the time. It can almost be *fun* to plan a binge. Then the anticipation begins…

It seems impossible to stuff all of the food in your mouth in enough time. You can’t get enough food crammed in there. You feel better. You don’t think about what is going on in your life. Instead, you are focused on eating food. A lot of food. It’s almost a euphoric feeling…

… that lasts for about five minutes. After that, the realization of your binge sets in. Guilt starts to consume you as you beat yourself up for not being strong enough.

You’ll do better tomorrow, you tell yourself knowing darn well that you’ve said that many times before. It seems to help you deal with the binge a little better.
