The actions that you today towards your recovery is the only thing that really matters.

You may be full of fearful thoughts, cravings, a depressed mood, but the most important and conducive thing that you can do is to keep taking positive actions – no matter how big or small they may be.

If your energy is low, then perhaps you can only do some simple things like a gratitude list, some meditation, reading out your ideal vision statement.

Everything counts. The actions that you take will determine the results that you get. And there is no better way to beat fear and anxiety than through positive actions.

Your recovery actions need to become a daily practice – one that is non negotiable.

The tools, strategies and actions need to be practiced on a consistent basis, and through our actions we change our thoughts, beliefs and lives.

It is just like yoga – I can watch all the videos and read all the books on it, but until I practice it I am not actually doing yoga and I do not get to experience the practice of yoga. Repeating my yoga practice on a daily practice then helps me to get better, stronger, more flexible and deepen my practice.

The same principle applies to recovery – it is the actions that you take that will create the success that you want and deserve.

Don’t let perfectionism sabotage your recovery. You do not have to wait until you feel great to write out your Ideal Vision – write it now and it will help you to get into a better state. Do some journal writing and get to the bottom of your emotions instead of treating them with food. Write out positive and powerful affirmations, get creative with them and post them where you can see them and be constantly reminded of what you are trying to achieve.

Keep taking any action for your eating disorder recovery and do the opposite of what the eating disorder thoughts are telling you. As you keep taking opposite action, you rededicate to your recovery and you begin to create incredible and powerful change that will bring you to full freedom and eating disorder recovery.

It IS possible to recover from all eating disorders! Keep taking the next right action, keep focusing on your Ideal recovery and you WILL get there…
