We Have A Runner On Our Hands

Posted May 19 2013 8:54am

You’d think with the busy day we had yesterday the kids would be worn out and sleep past 6.  Well they did.  Braiden was up at 6:05 this morning.  Scarlet is still sleeping but probably because she had a nightmare that a bug was in her crib and was awake crying 4 different times.  Such cute little boogers.  At least I have someone to watch SpongeBob with this AM.

Like I said, we had one busy, FUN, day yesterday.  All caught on camera of course.

First I went to the store and stocked up on a lot of chips and salsa among other things.  Then after Josh got back from his 12 mile run with his running group (I will get to their pace one day!) we spent a couple hours at the park.

Josh paced Braiden on his first mile run.  He ran a 13 minute mile with his little legs!  We have a runner on our hands for sure!  He loves it.  Josh was teaching him how to run up hill and down hill.  Braiden listened and took it all in.

Then there was some swinging done.

There was MAJOR digging in the sand.

There was Frisbee throwing.

And Frisbee chasing.

Eventually, they made it back.

After the park we went home and had some hot wings for dinner.  Then we went to a friends house for a very intense volleyball tournament with Josh’s running group and some of my coworkers.

I sat out of the game and kept the kids busy.

The day really wore the kids out.  (She’s so lady like.)

We came home and had some quick baths and it was almost straight to bed for all of us.  It was a great Saturday.
