Kym, I always think it's useful for all of us to watch each other walk the walk.
At least for me, it reminds me that we're all in this together, and that we all get to/have to walk the walk- or at least try to!
It's always worth giving ourselves lots of credit for walking the walk- which is not an easy thing to do.
I'm working with someone right now who is extremely ill- is going in and out of medical hospitals these days because of complications from her eating disorder.
I thought it was so ironic that I was ill because I could say to her, look, I know you don't want to be admitted to a hospital again, and I really do know how much it sucks to have to do that... and, it's really, really important for you to proceed anyway; you've got to be brave and do what needs to be done here.
We often think of walking the walk when we're walking BIG walks. It's a good thing to take note of ALL the walks we walk- because if we're striving to live our lives honestly and fully we walk lots of walks every day. Think about it: every time you tell the truth, every time you do something that's scrupulously honest, every time you do what you know you need to even when it's SO tempting to do something else (and easier...)... I consider all of those things walking the walk.
There are lots of people who can talk the talk. Talking the talk isn't hard. Walking the walk is often hard (and of course you get all the amazing things that go with it... so yay :)
