That whole self worth thing

Posted Aug 11 2014 12:20pm

Post inspired by a friend.
Why, oh why, are most of us so terrible about realizing our self worth. I will be the first to admit that I don’t realize my full potential of what I deserve in life.

When something happens to us, why is it so easy for us to immediately blame ourselves. We ask ourselves, ” What’s wrong with me?” “What can I do to make things better?” “What can I do to change myself because I’m not good enough?”

It’s not our job to make anyone else happy. Just as we are on the journey to making ourselves happy, they have to be too.

No one deserves to be put down by anyone else and on top of that, no one deserves to be put down by ourselves. It may sound easy enough but it’s the hardest thing in the world for most of us to stop doing.

“We accept the love we believe we deserve,” Is the most accurate quote I’ve ever heard in my experience. (Perks of being a Wallflower.)

It’s the hardest thing in the world to do but we can’t let someone else’s happiness contribute to our own feelings of ourselves.

I’m not really sure how to end this but sometimes I think I’ll just read this post over and over again just to remind myself. I may be a little emotional right now.

Aaaaand now back to your regular scheduled programing.

I have to take my new camera to St. Louis this week to exchange it for a new one. My front view camera is completely poopy and for a blogger and a cheap person who never pays for phones until two months ago….. I can’t have that happen. So for now all you get is selfie views. You’re welcome.

23 weeks pregnant. My stomach looks bigger than that when I’m not trying to fanagel a selfie.
Current craving….. Chili!!!

I don’t want to gross you out but I put a lot of stuff in my chili.  Bread, cheese, onions, jalapenos, and mustard. Mmm.

Tums have become my new best friend.
I don’t have any pictures of this weekend but my newest form of exercise has been learning to play tennis.  I played twice this weekend with friends while the kids played on the playground right next to the courts. It was perfect. It felt great to get my heart rate up and work on a goal (of serving right) while having fun. It’s quite a sight to see this pregnant girl running back and forth.

I hope everyone has a happy Monday today. My random rant and post has concluded and I’m going to watch some cooking shows before the kiddos wake up. See you guys!

No questions today just comment what’s on your mind below!
