Are you addicted to chips? Craving something salty and crunchy? These babies are sure to satisfy. Make them sweet or savory and eat without guilt. Pumpkin seeds are very good for you for so many reasons . They contain L-tryptophan which fights depression, they are high in zinc and magnesium, reduce inflammation, and may help prevent cancer and lower cholesterol. So next time you’re craving those deep-fried potatoes with no nutritional value, think about these instead.
Braiden helped me with these today. We made two different kinds, one sweet on savory.
1 Tbsp Coconut Oil
2 Cups Raw Pumpkin Seeds
For the Savory we used a Tsp each of
For the Sweet we used a Tsp each of
Nutmeg (1/4 tsp)
Toss the pumpkins seeds in melted coconut oil. Spread them evenly on a sheet pan. Sprinkle on salt. If making savory pumpkin seeds, put the rest of the seasonings on. If using coconut sugar or stevia wait until the come out of the oven. Bake the seeds at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. Stir 10 minutes into cooking. Store in an air tight container.
