Sister Saves the Day and Great Gifts From Grandma

Posted Jan 08 2013 7:39pm
This morning my alarm went off at 4:30.  This morning I woke up on the couch after falling asleep watching t.v.  This morning I was not “refreshed” from my nights sleep and ended up turning off my alarm and going right back to sleep.  Thankfully, my sister is still home from college for winter break and offered to watch Braiden while Scarlet napped and I went for a run.  She brought along her friend Madeline (Who I think Braiden has a little crush on.)  He taught them how to kill zombies while I was gone, then asked Madeline if she would sleep over.  Hey now!

I think they had fun.

So how did my run go?  I only did 3 miles and I didn’t feel my best.  I think this whole low carb thing really hurt the run.  I had eggs for breakfast and chicken for lunch.  The whole time I was running, I was also dreaming of that espresso gu I had on the 14 mile run last Saturday.  As much as I complained about it then, I wanted another.  I just felt blah. And it showed.

After the run I took a shower… it was around 4 o’clock.  So I was faced with a choice.  Do I put on actual clothes even though I’m not going anywhere, or do I just go straight for my P.J.’s and save myself some laundry?  Hmmm…. I chose P.J.’s.

I made a quick brown rice stir fry (I just ate the vegetables) and Josh’s grandma stopped by for a visit (Yes I chose wrong bc I hurried to put on jeans before she came in the door.)  She brought some tasty looking treats for the kids. (I must resist. I must resist.)

Chocolate Covered Blueberries. Josh’s favorite.

A Pumpkin Whoopie Pie Kit. Among the rest was veggie chips, snickerdoodle mix, and caramel chocolate popcorn (My favorite.)

She also brought this little number for me!

Snazzy isn’t it?  Calvin Klein.  I love it and I love her. I can’t wait to wear it.
