Juicing, Rashes, and Tea

Posted Feb 02 2013 8:35am
I’m a day late but HAPPY FEBRUARY! It’s the best month of the year because it’s my birthday month.

Yesterday was a much-needed rest day for me.  Every part of my body was sore and on top of that, I have another cold.  I thought I took my turn 3 weeks ago?  Ah, the joys of having preschool aged children.

In an attempt to fight off this nasty cold, Braiden and I made some very nutritious juice. He had a blast helping me.  juice 014 juice 015

We made the juice with pears, apples, carrots, cucumbers, and oranges. It was really good and Scarlet drank the most. Although it’s a pain to clean, I love our juicer.

Scarlet also has a virus.  She woke up yesterday with a rash all over her body. Head to toe. It didn’t seem to bother her at all but looked horrible! Being the emotional mother I am, I freaked out and took her straight to the doctor.  We sat in the waiting room, then we sat in the smaller waiting room, only for him to tell us that it’s a virus and there is nothing they can do.

After that, I spent as much time as I could on the couch with hot tea, letting the kids do whatever they wanted. I’m beginning to become a tea collector. There’s so many flavors out there.

I think mint will always be my favorite.

I’m still debating in my head if I should work out today or have another rest day.  This cold isn’t as bad as last time so I could probably work through it.  I also have to get ready for some football food!

Have a great day everyone!
