Create your own world… we all do it.

Posted Sep 04 2013 9:12am
Sometimes this busy world starts getting to you.  Sometimes life seems like it’s flying by and all you can do is hold on and hope gravity doesn’t give out and the centrifugal force cause by the Earth spinning so fast doesn’t fling you out of your comfort zone.

Your comfort zone.

We trust in Gravity. We trust in something we can’t see.  There is no doubt in our heads that no matter how fast the Earth is spinning, our feet will always be firmly on the ground.  Where am I going with this?  I’m not entirely sure.  Today is the first morning in a while when I didn’t really have a plan on what to write and my thoughts are just spilling out.

In life we all have ups and we all have downs.  We have stresses and issues that come up that we can not control.  As humans we don’t like feeling out of control.  We don’t like not having what we want.  Sometimes we lose track of what the future has in store because everything that is around us can get overwhelming.

Just Breathe

So what can we control in these stressful times of our lives?  For me it used to be food.  I could control what I put into my body and I could try to control the number on the scale.  I sucked myself into everything revolving around that number and those calories because I didn’t want to look around and face the real world.  I created my own.

I live in my own little world

We may not realize it but we all create our own worlds inside our heads.  We think of our problems too much and they BECOME our world. -Worry often gives a small thing a big shadow.

Are you stressing about those bills on the table?  Are you stressing because your job?  Are you stressing because it seems like your being pulled in a million different directions trying to keep your kids happy, your spouse happy, yourself happy?
When life gets overwhelming you have to start trusting the yourself. Create your own world but the BIG DIFFERENCE is you need to create a GOOD world.

Create a world where everyone is kind.  -Because Most People Are.  Just because someone throws oil into the ocean, it doesn’t make the whole ocean dirty.

Create a world where you are successful. -Because you’ve come so far and have the determination to keep going.  Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant.

Create a world where you have everything you need. -Because you do.  Life isn’t about the amount of breaths you take, its about those moments that truly take your breath away.

Create a world where there are no bills to pay. -Because you know that everything will be okay and there will be an end in site to your troubles. You are too determined to stay in the same place the rest of your life. Today, you have 100% of your life left.

Create a world where you are important. -Because every little thing you do really DOES matter to others.  From singing your kids a song in the morning to saying hi to someone on your way to work.  If you smile at me I will understand, because that is something everyone everywhere does in the same language.

Create a world that is filled with love. -Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

Trust yourself like you trust in gravity.  In times of stress and troubles think of it as opportunities with thorns. Create your own world filled with good qualities and live in it.  Where you are now is not where you are going to be for the rest of your life and you are too determined, you are too powerful, you are too important, you are too special to let the little thorns in life become your world.

We chose the world we want to live in… so tell me, where do you want to build a house and plant your roots?

P.S. I didn’t feel well yesterday so I took a day off running.  I have a cold.  A cold when it’s 90 degrees out. Mind blown right?
