Yes. Yes. YEs. a million times yes. Hard work and tons of doctor visits, but totally doable. i have 2 kids who are still healthy. They were a bit chubby at birth but other than that no problems. Make sure whatever you read on diabetic pregnancy is updated. they have made a ton of advances in the last decade. Make sure you have good medical insurance before you get pregnant and try to get some disability insurance too. Because of all the extra work trying to keep sugars normal, it makes life easier if you can take time off work to concentrate on just that with out all the added stresses and time pulls of work. make sure your gp sends you to a perinatologist that is familiar with diabetes. they have so much knowledge about the wacky hormone surges and what to expect from your sugars week by week. Other than that, have fun getting pregnant and while you are pregnant. One other word of advise, focussing on blood sugars after you have kids becomes a whole new world. the entire focus of your world will shift from you to those kids. Good luck
