Hi hello and I’m sorry I’ve been a terrible blog friend. Things haven’t really slowed down but I’m getting into a good routine and I promise that more recipes will be coming soon and I will stop with my slacking off. Today I headed to the gym at 5am to get in my first workout in what seems like forever. I’m not going to say I got off track but I was just focusing on other things and the break was nice. Scarlet’s first day of Preschool is today! Follow my on Instagram for pictures.
I had a wonderful wonderful birthday weekend! Josh basically watched this kids all weekend so I could spend time with my family.
Did I tell you guys that my amazing new camera lens I went on and on about in December… broke? I dropped it on the ground and it broke on Christmas eve. Well, I finally got it back over the weekend! But the pictures I have for this post are all dollar camera phone pics. Sorry.
Friday my sister and I headed to our favorite sushi restaurant.
Followed by an amazing performance by the Avett Brothers at the Pea Body Opera House.
Then Saturday my mom took my sister and I shopping at Chesterfield mall.
Ahhhh, Sephora. This was our first stop. We each chose what we waned to smell like that day and sprayed on a sample of perfume. I went with Chanel because I wanted to smell like I could afford a $98 bottle of perfume. I got me some good mascara. My advice is always sign up for the rewards cards… I got a free birthday gift! Lipstick and more mascara! Score.
A day of shopping wouldn’t be complete without a great new lunch spot. Josh works in Chesterfield so he recommended the Corner Pub.
Good choice. The fried pickles were amazing. Along with a huge spicy burger and the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever ate in my life.
(Awkward Blurry Sister Pose. I look Evil.)
On the way home we made a stop at Hobby Lobby where I got a kneed Eraser for my pencil drawings and I also got an acrylic paint starter set. I’m pretty excited about it. Finally, my mom (since she’s awesome) decided that Starbucks was a great final cherry on top of our day.
Iced Caramel Flan Latte.
I had to work all day yesterday but when I go home I was welcomed by a gift from Josh’s family.
Gardening stuff! I was really excited! I want a huge garden this year but I had nothing and no clue what I was even going to do! Josh’s mom said she is going to come up and help me.
How was your weekend?
