Braiden woke up this morning and I knew there was no way I could let him out of the house with cowlick mania going on, on the top of his little head. I sat him on the toilet and shaved that boy down. Shew! It was getting to the point where he looked like he could be the smelly kid in class. Not kidding.
I also got Scarlet’s hair in pig tales today. Good day.
As for the diet today… This morning I had eggs, again. Around 11 o’clock I started to feel nauseous (No, I’m not preggo.) This has happened to me before when I don’t eat enough carbs. Usually at this time I would say, “Screw this diet!” and proceed to the nearest gas station for a king size candy bar. This time, instead, I made a lunch with higher carb vegetables. I cooked a whole onion and a whole yellow pepper in some coconut oil and grilled a tiny little steak. After I inhaled that, I felt so much better.
It’s all about reading your body and giving it what it wants without over doing it.
Ashley- 1. Inner voice inside my head that feeds on sugar- 0.
When Scarlet naps, I have approximately 1.25 hours to do what I can’t do when she’s awake. Usually for me, that entails some type of cleaning… toilet, dishes, floors, ect. Today, I decided to sit my butt down and watch Julia and Julia while coloring my hair. Yes, another food movie. I love movies, and food so movies about food… mhmm.
I’ve been thinking about what I’m going to make for dinner ever since I ate lunch. This is what I do on a daily basis. I decided that tonight it was Chinese and a movie night. I’m very lucky Josh works right next to a whole foods store. I had him pick up some coconut aminos and some grass-fed cream cheese. Tonight I’m making Shrimp with Broccoli and Pork Fried “Rice” and some Crab Rangoon.
Coconut aminos are supposed to give the dish a soy saucey taste without the soy and without the sodium. At our whole foods the 8oz bottle cost around $8. I’m sure it will last a while and be well worth the money. Recipes and maybe even some more rambling to come tonight. I’m off to the store for the rest of the dinner supplies and maybe a card reader for the camera.
