Are Food Diaries Helpful for Eating Disorder Recovery

Today we have another great question about keeping food diaries, tracking food and the impact that this has on eating disorder recovery.

Do you keep track of what you eat? Have you been told that this was a good way to manage your eating disorder?

Well, I have a controversial opinion on it, that may not sit well with everyone… but as always, I speak from my own experience after dealing with an eating disorder for a decade and going through many programs which did of course include food tracking, food diaries and focusing on a “food plan”.
