It’s official, my appetite is back and bigger than ever. This weekend I did battle with the headaches still but my hunger was playing catch up from the last 17 weeks. This made me really happy.
The weekend I filled with all kinds of eats.
Little man brought home some great trout from his trip to Josh’s parents house.
Saturday I fried them up for lunch.
For the breading I used a mixture of flours including brown rice, whole grains white, and regular white. Seasonings added to that was a lot of smoked paprika, garlic salt, a little bit of oregano and thyme. I did the typical flour, milk, flour , fry method.
Sunday morning the kids woke up bright and early and helped me make French toast.
Lunch was frozen pizza.
And Josh surprised me with this later that afternoon. Share size? Uh, don’t think so.
I pretty much ate more in one weekend than I have in the past two months. But it’s not just my eating that my appetite affects.
I was also back to my normal self of thinking of new recipes and scanning the cooking channel all day for ideas.
Scarlet wasn’t feeling well this weekend so we took it pretty easy around here.
I did my first real run this weekend. 3 miles on the treadmill. It ended up being an average of 12 minute miles but I walked, ran at a 10 minute pace, walked, ext. I’m happy to be back to a gym routine and I do have a plan somewhat made for my running and workouts but it’s nothing I’m going to take too seriously while pregnant.
This week is going to be a busy week for me and the family. I have a doctor’s apt tomorrow, then Thursday we are going on a family vacation for the fourth of July weekend.
Any plans for the holiday? The fourth of July is my favorite holiday after Christmas.
