My lovely 3 cup food processor that cost me a whopping $15 from Wal-Mart…non of that fancy smancy expensive Cuisenart food processor for me (though if you have an extra one that you want off your hands…). The only appliance that might get more use in my kitchen:
Trust me, do not come between me and my coffee…it’s not a pretty picture.
BUT lately I’ve been addicting to blending random things and dumping the final product on top of a huge pile of veggies. And since it’s summer time, the produce is fresh and beautiful thus allowing me make massively amazing salads (and yes I do eat things other than salads). Summer also makes me crave:
I wanna include salsa in all my food processed concoctions so today I threw in 1/4 cup black beans (love low sodium Goya), 4 tablespoons salsa, and 4 tablespoons ranch dressing (I use calorie free Walden Farms). Blend together and dump on veggies of your choice.
And devour like maniac after doing both Body Step and Body Pump this morning, I needed fuel ASAP. My salad also included more black beans, cherry tomatoes, zucchini, red and orange sweet bell pepper, plus tons of spinach.
If I haven’t mentioned it before I absolutely love Body Step and the other Les Mills classes that are taught at the Gold’s Gyms (and other gyms) that I belong to. And after talking to the new group fitness instructor, I’m going to become certified to teach Body Step I’ll keep y’all posted on how my training goes, etc.
What are your summer cravings? And do take workout classes or prefer to work out solo?
