METHADONE ... travel help

I am planning a trip to Mexico... but i have only been on the Methadone treatment for about 9 or so months, and have never traveled taking it, so i need help. Please. and answers... please. I don't know if it's 'legal' to carry methadone over the boarder to mexico from canada... will they give me problems at the airport...is it best to put it in my carry or in my luggage? I am going to purchase a otter box.. one of those boxes that seals and is extremely durable, so i can put my containers of liquid in there, for my trip... in case my suitcase is stepped on or whatever. Since I know planes don't allow liquids on board, and will ask a million questions, and assume i'm just another drug addict. And make judgments about me, without knowing anything about me, or my situation. Can i get my perscription refilled in mexico, or should i just carry my medicine there with me, saftely, and just take it there. ???? i'm Sorry for all the questions... i just don't know who to ask or where to go. I tried asking my doctor, and although he's a wonderful physician and very supportive of the program, he doesn't even know himself what the rules are, with travel to mexico. he said he will write a letter to carry with me, but methadone is labeled a 'narcotic' so this might cause issues at customs. So... my trip is in a month, and i really need to know what to do... what have other done... please please, let me know, get back to me, i'm really in need of some answers... my email is

And I know that methadone doesn't work the same for everyone, but for me, it's been a good step. Not one that will be permenant, but for now it's helping and doing the job it was intended to do.
