I'm not sure exactly what you are considering-- drinking is not absolutely contraindicated while taking morphine. Yes, both morphine and alcohol are central nervous system depressants, so caution is advised when mixing them-- the morphine will have a stronger effect when consuming alcohol, and vice versa. You may also be more prone to nausea or other side effects when combining the two. And of course-- don't drive while under the influence from one, the other, or both!
