can you take amoxicillin with methodone

Posted by smiles

My son has been taking Methodone for two weeks. Last friday he had to have an emergency tooth extraction and was prescribed amoxicillin. It causes him to throw up everything that he eats. He is not sick other then at the times he needs to throw up. Is this a side effect of mixing the drugs? Would he do better with a different antibiotic?

Yes, amoxicillin is only an antibiotic and you can take it while on a steady dose of methadone.
