Health knowledge made personal
I'm Michelle, aka Miggy, a PhD biochemist working in cancer. Since I was a teenager (I won't say how long ago that was) I have been interested, possibly obsessed, with healthy cooking and eating. Having spent ten years in academia, I learned how to prepare healthy meals quickly and on a budget. Now that I'm working in corporate America, I still return to those quick and cheap meals. I may have a bigger paycheck, but I certainly don't have any extra time!
My blog mostly features recipes I've prepared, either old stand-bys I've worked on for years or new recipes that have sparked my interest. In each recipe I will try to include the approximate cost per serving and nutritional information. My goal is not to attain health perfection, but to find ways to prioritize healthy cooking and eating into tight schedules and budgets. Iâ??m sure I will run into snafus along the way. I plan to brutally honest and hope that you will laugh with me as I continue to learn how to do this.
