Dr John Di Saia is a "real" plastic surgeon not one of the many online "dime story phonies." He completed Medical school at UC Irvine in 1990 and started a General Surgery residency that year at UC Irvine. He completed General and Plastic Surgery Residencies at UC Irvine in 1995 and 1997 respectively. Dr Di Saia became board certified in by the American Board of Surgery in 1997 and obtained a second certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 2001. He only maintains the certification in plastic surgery as he does not practice general surgery anymore. The doctor's post-graduate activities have included several publications in the medical journals, a series of Op-Ed articles in local newspapers and expert reviewer status in plastic surgery for the California Medical Board since 2003. His practice is based in Orange County California and is focused on breast and body contouring. His friends affectionately call his practice 'the OC BodyShop."
