I have been suffering for over 3 years with recurring strep throat. I am 40 years old and had bouts of it often as a kid. I have pus near my tonsils but no fever and a swab was done and it came back negative for strep but I still feel like crap. Lost appetite and lack energy. I have had a steady headache. This bout has gone on for 3 weeks. I can also feel a lump in my throat and it makes me gag. Any suggestions?
