Thinking that Will has got it really goin' on in the kitchen? He certainly has something goin' on and I'm not down with it.
So, I thought I would let Will handle the cutlery again this morning while I unloaded the rest of the dishwasher. After a couple of minutes he stepped off his step stool saying "Whoa!.....Whoa mum!"
I looked over to a river of hot, freshly brewed coffee pouring across the counter and down the cupboard, into the drawers and cupboards, onto the floor, under the fridge. Soggy Saran Wrap and aluminum foil boxes, puddles around lunch boxes!
I returned the coffee pot to the maker, from where Will had pulled it, to catch the last few tablespoons of my morning coffee.
A roll of paper towels later I think I tackled the tide.
I did like how the coffee seemed to bring out the light brown highlights of the wood floor though.
I checked to see if I was going to get at least the better part of a cup of coffee. The pot was empty. I was sure that there would have been at least a respectable dribble, but nothing. I pulled out the pot to notice that half of the bottom of the glass pot was missing. The dregs of the pot poured out as I tilted the pot to investigate.
I immediately ran out to see if Target might have a replacement pot. We're talking about mom's morning coffee during March break here. This was an urgent situation.
It seems this is a part that must be ordered. It looks like I'll be visiting Fivebucks a lot this weekend and into next week.
We're moving on to sweeping lessons now. What could go wrong there?
