Last night, Keeghan woke up crying about a bug in his bed. I went into his room and realized right away he had had a bad dream. I sat with him and comforted him and showed him there was no bug. After looking around for a minute, he settled back down and went back to sleep. The next morning I asked him, "Keeghan, do you remember your bad dream last night?"
K: my dweam?
M: Yeah... about the bug in your bed?
K: Oh yeah! Scawy bug in my bed!
M: But it was just a dream, right? There wasn't really a bug.
K: A dweam?
M: Yes. It wasn't real.
K: Oh...
(Then he ran up to his room. A few minutes later...)
K: Mommy! I can't FIND it! Where'd it GO?!
M: Where'd what go, Keeghan?
(I walk up to Keeghan's room and find him searching his bed...)
K: My DWEAM! Where'd it GO?!
LOL! I don't think he quite understands what dreams are yet!
