Gabi's really enjoying VBS. She's excited to go each night. Today was day three, and Buddy The Bat was there again greeting the children as they came through the door. Tonight, each child drew a card with the name and picture of a country that they need to pray for this week. This was Gabi's card: We started our prayers as soon as we got home and placed our card at our dining room table to remind us to pray for Egypt each meal. Please join us in praying for Egypt or for any other country that the Lord may be laying on your heart.
Dear Heavenly Father, We come to You today thanking You for another wonderful day. Lord, we thank You for the wonderful blessings You have given our family. Today, we come asking for You to place Your hand on Egypt. Lord, let the citizens of this country feel Your presence, and let them know that You are God. Draw them near to You, Lord, so that they may know You as I do, and so that they, too, can have eternal life through Your Son, Jesus Christ. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
This was a pretty simple game for children that was sent home with Gabi tonight. First, you take 3 Popsicle sticks and draw on one side of the first one Priscilla, the second Aquila, and the third a tent (leave the other side blank) like someone did below (It's a bit too detailed to be Gabi's work- she only does happy faces!):
These are the rules:
And this is the scoring system: Gabi and I haven't played it yet! We will give it a try tomorrow!
