We got the shopping cart this morning. So far, I'd have to say, if you are looking to buy a shopping cart specifically for learning how to walk this is a good choice. It doesn't need any extra weighting. The distribution of weight in the toy alone is enough that it stays upright (unlike the actual WALKER we bought for Georgia several months ago).
PerHAPS maybe it's weighted a little TOO well. Georgia can stand still and doesn't HAVE to push it. That is what she's doing in the following pictures. So don't be deceived, she's not walking. Yet. But if I slowly wheel it in front of her she takes tiny little steps. She's definitely unsure about it still, but before she wouldn't even PUT one foot in front of the other so between the activity table and this cart maybe we'll get somewhere!
She sure does look like a big girl thought, doesn't she?
