Overprotective Daddy Taking Over for a Minute.......
Posted Aug 24 2008 10:50pm
Hi all,
This is Rhett’s Big Daddy. I have taken over Pamela’s blog for a moment to express some of my feeling and vent some anger. Earlier today Pamela got a negative comment on her blog. This is normally is not an issue as Pamela just deletes them, because the person(s) leaving the comments are just looking for attention. Much like slutskyaschmidt! Who is a fictional blog stalker that dares too publicly attack the integrity of my family!
Rhett’s Journey is our home page when we open up to the Internet. There are many reasons for this, but the largest and most important is our other children love to read about Rhett and our lives, see all the wonderful pictures mommy and daddy have taken. I guess that this individual can’t read because Pamela has a message that reads "keep in mind that our children read this blog, and the comments, and they need to stay clean and nice". Respect is something I expect from anyone who visits Rhett’s Journey. Pamela’s intentions for this blog are to help keep family and friends up dated on all of Rhett’s up coming events. It is not to create sympathy or anger! If the information is offensive don’t read it, and don’t come back! If you find the blog offensive you really don’t have Rhett’s well being in mind anyway.
Now I’d like to address my dear friend slutskyaschmidt (Seriously, who comes up with a blog name like this? Not very mature if you ask me! ) some kind words.
1. Fundraiser #10? I’m not sure if there is a difference between having one fundraiser or a thousand. The fundraisers have not been for self-gain. All the money raised has gone towards increasing the overall wellbeing and rehabilitation of our family. I am more thankful for the prayers everyone has given us because it has opened new doors for us, and helped keep our faith in God strong. Those who have participated or donated in a fundraiser of any kind are nothing less than angles sent from God. Currently with our wings clipped we have needed a little pick up. Our wings are getting stronger everyday, and so we will be able to pay-it-forward to all that has been given to us. Our hope is that we will be able to pay-it-forward one hundred times, and bless other families in need.
2. Car inspected/Desk Job? I have been blessed/cursed with a hard head. Against DR’s orders I have been doing some marketing, sales, website reconstruction, & data entry for a family member. 15-20 hrs per week making $7.00 an hour. While I tried very hard to keep the income coming in my back injury/pain became overwhelming. I don’t expect anyone to understand the pain I was going through. I have been pain free since a week after my back surgery. The plague is that the muscles are still very weak. This prevents me from doing a lot of normal everyday activities. I’m going through physical therapy to strengthen the muscles in my back and stomach. According to the DR’s if I don’t take the time to heal correctly I’ll have to have a second surgery to put in six pins and two rods in my back (Doesn’t sound like fun to me). I’ll be released to full time work April 11th. The catch is I can’t go back to welding, manufacturing, landscaping, or anything that has excessive lifting, bending, twisting, or sitting. Anyone have any good job ideas?
3. Can't stand the hospital? You are correct that I hate the hospital, so does Pamela, Dakota, Hunter, Chloee, & even Rhett! I’ll be with Rhett during and after his surgery March 21st. I will then return on Easter with rest of the kids. I will also go to the hospital if Pamela needs anything. We have three other children that need attention while Rhett is in the hospital. On another note I can’t even care for Rhett at home with my weak back. I’m wondering how can I care for him at all in the hospital. Do you know how it feels when your child wants you to pick them up and you can’t?
4. Sympathy, but anger? Slutskyaschmidt the next time you come stalking Rhett’s Journey keep on moving! If you would like to leave a comment send it right to my email rhettspet@hotmail.com ! If you leave a negative comment on this blog again I’ll be at your door too give you something to write about.
What's this, fundraiser # 10? Good grief. Your hubby can go get the car inspected and stuff but can't work a desk job? Hmmm...............He can't stand the hospital, so he won't be there for you and Rhett? Wow, nothing to say to that one. Guess his problems are more important than anyone else's. I don't think you realize how saying things like this about your family doesn't create sympathy, but anger in others. That being said, I do hope that Rhett does well in his surgery and that he will have no problems.
This person should really get a life......or a job !!!
By the way, Rhett gives this comment two birdie fingers straight up.
