Whew - it's been a rough week, but I think we're over it. 98% of Piper's hives are gone!!! Unfortunately, the new meds that counteract the allergic reaction to the amoxicillan, make Piper bright eyed and bushy tailed, almost 24/7. She hasn't slept hardly at all, but she's extremely happy thanks to the euphoric side effects of the new medicine. And I'm hoping calamine lotion comes out of clothes, couch fabric, carpet, etc. (Kori - I'm going to be giving your spray-n-wash the test!)
Day 1 - Raised red splotchy spots
Day 2 - SUPER itchy spots spreading everywhere! Oatmeal baths and another trip to feed the ducks.
Day 3 - The meds kicked in, the spots are leaving red outlines and purple partches. By the end of the day, most of the major spots were gone! We can leave the house without looking like an alien!
