So Kass and Kam's backpacks came from L.L. Bean last night.
We got Kassidy one out of this section of teen backpacks and it's a GREAT size. It's large enough to hold everything she will need now and through middle and high school if her bag truly does hold up that long. It seems to be made really well and she loves it. The monogramming is kind of small, but no big deal I guess.
On Kameron's, I messed up, I'm afraid. I got him one labeled as youth backpack and it's REALLY small. It barely fits his folders in it. I thought about just trying to make it work, but for the money I paid I really want this to last him so I called them today and arranged to return it and ordered him a larger one. The lady I talked to was really nice and explained that those backpacks are better suited for pre-school age (which I can see now, but I think they should label them differently) but she helped me find a good one for him. And he's now getting this one:

It's very similar to his old one, just bigger, and it should last him a long time :). Once I get his new one I can ship back the one I have here. SO all that to say, if you're looking into L.L. Bean backpacks, go with the Teen ones or the Original Plus for more room, and I give their customer service two thumbs up! They were very helpful even when it was my dumb mistake! :) On that note, I'm off to finish labeling school supplies. It's days like this when I'm happy my kids all have the same initials! hehe
