Have any of you ever purchased a membership for a zoo, museum, or aquarium? Do you find you get your money's worth? I can't help but think that we would. Even though Georgia is still pretty young, the aquarium, for instance, costs about $25/visit/person (though free for kids under 3). But you can buy a membership pass for $109 for the whole year. That would pay for itself in 2 visits if both Alex and I were going with the kiddos. I think it's cheaper for the Children's Museum and the zoo.
If I were rich I would just do all three and have something available for Georgia and I to do whenever we want. These places are SO close to our house. But maybe we ought to choose one for now and see how much we use it. Hmm...which one though? The Children's Museum has a daily story time, but I sure do love me some animals. Also, I have a feeling the Children's Museum might be a little too interactive for Georgia at this age. Maybe something where she can observe more for now? I dunno.
Side note: the aquarium has a program where you can have an actual "encounter" with the dolphins or do an actual dive in the tanks! It's kind of expensive, but do you know how badly I would have wanted this when I was a kid?
