Hanging Out...

Posted Nov 12 2011 12:00am
After an incredibly busy week, with another super busy week ahead of us, we have enjoyed spending the day hanging out here at home. We've watched movies, the kids have played the Wii, and except for a short trip to the mall to look for outfits for our upcoming family pictures, we stayed put. It was nice. Tomorrow we are going to church and then spend the afternoon folding and putting away laundry (which sounds oh so fun, right?) and get ready for the upcoming week.

Kellsey has an MRI on Monday that her neurologist ordered, then Tuesday all 5 kids go to the dentist. I've heard great things about the pediatric dentist here. I'm a little nervous to see what they decide to do about Kennedy's front bottom baby teeth. Her adult teeth are fully grown in behind them, and I'm guessing they're going to need to be pulled. I don't know if they'll do it right then and there, or schedule it for later... will they put her to sleep or just use Novocaine? Anyone know?

Wednesday Kellsey has her appointment with her other neurologist to talk about her possible CIPA diagnosis and where to go from here. This appointment was scheduled a couple weeks ago, but we had a snow day and the roads were bad and all the kids were home so I rescheduled it. I really want to be able to concentrate on what this doctor is saying. I have heard that he is wonderful and very educated in pain insensitivity disorders, so I look forward to meeting him and getting some answers finally.

Thursday, Frank goes on leave and we will spend the day packing up while the kids are in school and then Thursday after school we will take off to California for Thanksgiving! The kids have the whole next week off school and we are so excited to go out there and see lots of family. We will be staying with my grandmother, and my dad is driving down from Northern CA, so the kids are super excited to see him. None of them (my grandmother, dad, cousins, aunts and uncles) have met Keeghan or Kellsey yet, so that makes it even more special. I will of course be blogging from there (assuming my grandmother has wi-fi hmmm!!) and I'll be taking tons of pictures. :)

Anyway, Kellsey fell asleep on Frank's lap, so I guess that's my cue to close and get everyone to bed for the night. I just wanted to say that we're still here and all is well. I hope you all are enjoying your weekend!
