Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease

Posted Jul 27 2009 12:00am
We think the littlest man has hand, foot, and mouth disease. On Saturday he got a fever and his tongue looked red. Yesterday I noticed white sores inside his lips and the fever's still hanging around. Thankfully he's been sleeping great at night, but is fussier during the day. He doesn't have sores on his hands or feet yet, but I read that those can show up later or not at all. The bad part is that if it is hand, foot, & mouth, he's very contagious for 5-7 days. (Sarah & Muriel, your kids will probably get it.) Which means I need to reschedule his cardiologist checkup that's supposed to be tomorrow, and cancel the 3 therapies scheduled for this week. And stay home allll week long. Which means Eric does the grocery shopping...right?!;)
