I am in LOVE with this boy. He is so loving his momma too. He is a big boy weighing in well over 17lbs. He has a therapist come show him what he can do twice a month. This last time he has taken the info and ran with it. He is reaching for toys and busy all the time moving! It is so fun to watch him learn something new! He has also decided that he wants to watch that crazy two year old. It has taken him this long to notice her attempts to make him laugh. I suspect he will be giggling at her non stop soon.
Down syndrome new mama sent out a challenge to post about the best part of raising a Down Syndrome baby. Well this isnt hard! Just like DSNM I love babies, and the infant baby stage is my favorite part of raising a child. Infants stay where you put them and are always glad to see you:) Thomas is so stinking soft and cuddle I just cant get enough of him. Even though he is a strong little guy he is extending the baby stage just for me ( I am sure). I love watching him learn something new. It may take him longer to master a skill but when he does we celebrate loudly! His fat little legs and arms are still so doughy and soft I just cant get enough of him. Oh and the sleeping! I have never had or heard of a baby that sleeps as sound and as long as a Down Syndrome baby. It is so nice to have a sleeper. Do not get me wrong he still knows how to wake up JUST when sister goes to sleep mid afternoon. But sleeping all night (ten hours) since 2 weeks old is a beautiful thing. I am so proud to be his mom, when I run errands without him I miss him terribly. He is my little man and I cant wait to see what tomorrow brings.
