I feel I should apologize for the huge number of entries today. There is just SO MUCH stuff being rammed through Congress that you need to know about, to inform your friends and family, and to contact your legislators. If the news was evolving at a normal pace, I wouldn't be doing this.
But tomorrow Pelosi is determined to bring the Climate Change legislation to a vote. What you're hearing is Cap and Trade. What you are not hearing is how your cost for everything is set to rise if this passes, not only through new taxes to you, but also in increased costs passed on by manufacturers.
More and more people - including hundreds of respected scientists you never hear of (see 650 Scientists deny Global warming - where's the media? ) - are realizing that Global Warming is a hoax. With record low temperatures this past year throughout the globe, I believe it's just another alarmist propaganda tool to convince gullible citizens that only the government will save us from disaster.

Democrats off-loading economics to pass climate change bill.House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has put cap-and-trade legislation on a forced march through the House, and the bill may get a full vote as early as Friday. It looks as if the Democrats will have to destroy the discipline of economics to get it done.
Despite House Energy and Commerce Chairman Henry Waxman's many payoffs to Members, rural and Blue Dog Democrats remain wary of voting for a bill that will impose crushing costs on their home-district businesses and consumers. The leadership's solution to this problem is to simply claim the bill defies the laws of economics.
