And Boy. As in, BOY, I haven't gone too far in the alphabet game, have I?
Anyhow, we're home. Officially Baltimoreans. OK. So really we live in a zip code just outside of Baltimore, but if you were to address our mail to Baltiore with the correct zip code, we'd get it. So yeah. We live in Baltimore.
It's been a helluva week. I think Georgia and I have spent about 40 hours in the car. Not fun. But Alex is with us now and we actually got some dishes unpacked this evening. During our 6+ hours in the car today, much of our trip was accompanied by the soundtrack of torrential downpour. Two cars because we had to get them both down here. A lonely trip with twice the tolls. And white-knuckling along the highway that you could barely see because of the truck spray. Woo-hoo.
I don't sound super jazzed, do I? No. I suppose right now, though I am happy to be home, I am just plum tired.
And our to-do list is ever-expanding. On the docket for morning? Downspout disconnection. Yay for Lowe's and Home Depot gift certificates!!
And of course more unpacking. And calling my local OB. And trying to get at least a few exercises in with Georgia, who I fear is being neglected. I have a list of things I would like her to accomplish over the next 6 months and we're expecting a call from our new EI contact within two weeks--or so they told me Friday when I called while I was sitting in the car waiting for Alex to clean out his office.
This is not really much about Baltimore, I realize. But it's certainly one of the biggest Bs in our life right now.
That, and of course, the baby. Who thankfully, as of now, as far as I know, and according to the heartbeat doppler I heard on Friday, is still flipping around in my uterus like a good little bean.
Baltimore.
