Does Aiden not like school? How long is he at school. I am so worried about kindergarten next year. Aiden DOES indeed like school, he just doesn't like the drop off part. He enjoys his classes (both special education and general) and really enjoys PE, Music and Art. This year he is in all day kindergarten from 8:30am until 3pm.
About school - do the teachers report that he settles down after you leave? Absolutely, when I pick him up, they always report that after about 30 minutes (I drop him off at 8am for breakfast with his classmates and I head to Zumba), he stops his whining/crying. The last few days, he has gone into class and right up to his teacher for hugs and kisses. We have learned that his teacher MUST be the one to help with breakfast - last year it was one of the aides. And that another aide - Miss Robin (or Nana) is the one that has to help with lunch. Otherwise the child will not cooperate at all and refuse to eat.
