On Saturday we headed up to Brighton to see the fall leaves, inspired by April's fine photos a couple of weeks ago. But, we were a couple of weeks too late. The leaves have fallen. And there were a few slick snowy patches on the boardwalk. But overall, it was perfect weather for a little stroll around Silver Lake. The leaves on the drive up were very colorful, but I didn't get any pictures.
*{as I'm typing this, Piper is in her bed suppose to be going to sleep - I just heard a "Mom, where are you? I'm freaking awesome. Mom, you better come see - I unzipped my jammies."}
Piper got a little chilly after throwing a few snowballs, so she had to ride on her daddy's shoulders with my jacket around her.

She kept climbing up on the rocks and shouting, "I'm queen of the mountain!"
Piper kept toddling off to gather rocks which she then put in her pockets to throw in the water along the way.
