I strive to write my blog with wit, warmth and passion. My passions? Food, exercise and randonmess.
I strongly believe that eating real, whole foods -- consisting of lots of vegetables -- is the key to health. Highly processed yet "low fat" or "low carb" foods will leave us wanting more and turning to less healthy choices to fulfill our needs. I also believe that processed foods and GMOs are the largest contributors to cancer, diabetes and heart disease. Let's put it this way: no one got fat from eating too many vegetables.
I am an exercise enthusiast and love trying out new classes and fads. My current obsession is Lotte Berk-style classes. I recently got into running and just completed my first 5K. I look forward to many more races -- and longer distances -- in my future. I am excited to improve my speed, endurance and strength.
Finally, I write about anything and everything going on in my life. My family, my boyfriend ("the boy"), venting about the NYC subway, ranting about my doctors, dealing with my chronic gastrointestinal illness, giving away free doormats (it's happened) and more.
