What is going on with me? Lower abdominal discomfort/pain, indigestion

Posted by ekillin

Hello,

I am 22 years old, female. The past couple weeks I have had bouts of what I described above. The best way I can describe it, is it feels as if I haven't eaten in a long time, and like  my stomach is filled with gases. Eating, gas-x, tums, orpepto bismal do not relieve the pressure. If they do, then it doesn't feel as if I should eat something, but more like excessive gas that I can't relieve, with a pinch that I can feel on my right and left abdomen, about the height of my belly button. If I push my belly out, the pinching is a lot more prominent.

I have had an pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound, which both came back normal. The gassy feeling/discomfort, ingestion that I've had most recently will not go away (past four days), regardless of the above measures I've taken, exercise, or FiberCon (I've been taking it for the past five days). I do have bowel movements, though they are a bit irregular.

Also, and I can't tell if this is related. For longer than I've been suffering from the indigestion and abdominal discomfort, I've had this other discomfort on my right side, around my belly button. It hasn't been painful, but it's more of a weird sensation. Though I have no idea what organs are located there, it feels as if there is a little round organ which I suddenly have an awareness of. It doesn't hurt, it just exists...I don't know how to explain that. I've had that sensation for about 3 months. I can also feel this, whatever it is, during sex. It was never painful during intercourse, except during the last time I had sex, which was about 3 weeks ago (the pelvic and transvag ultrasound I had was taken last week). At this point though, I was also going through bouts of abdominal discomfort.

Please help! Any suggestions are great. I want to get an idea of what I might be up against before I see my doctor again.
